Beloit Memorial Concert Choir to open at Millikin University show
The Beloit Memorial Concert Choir has been asked to open for the Millikin University Collegiate Chorale when it is performs in Beloit this month.
“Millikin University has one of the strongest choral programs in Midwest, and the BMHS choral department is honored to be asked to join them on that evening,” said Beloit Memorial Choir Director Ben Westphal.
The concert will be Friday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 801 Bushnell St.
Westphal said former Beloit College professor Max Yount will accompany the choir’s performance on pipe organ before the 55-member Millikin Chorale takes the stage. The Millikin Choral is directed by Guy Forbes.
A free-will offering will be collected to cover the cost of the Millikin Chorale’s tour
